The Astec Scooter Stopper is an ideal accessory to give an attendant for safe stopping control over a scooter/wheelchair user in any situation. It uses modern reliable remote control to bring the user to a safe stop from a distance up to 45 meters (depending on the working environment). The Astec Scooter Stopper plugs directly into the charger socket and is powered by the equipment. When activated, the equipment user will come to a gentle stop and will not be able to operate the machine until the remote unit is reset.
There is also the option of having the Scooter Stopper hardwired to the machine as shown in the video on a Magic Mobility Powered Wheelchair. They can also be fitted to the older Quantum v.2 Powered Wheelchairs.
